A Middle Tennessee State University student was taken to the hospital this morning after another student cut her multiple times during a fight over a parking space, according to a university news release.
Starlett Custer, 19, cut another female student, 17, in the head, shoulder and arm during a fight in the Bell Street parking lot around 10:15 this morning, according to the school. The 17-year-old student, whose name was not released by police, was taken to Middle Tennessee Medical Center with severe but non-life-threatening injuries.
Custer was also treated and then taken to Rutherford County Jail and charged with aggravated assault. The weapon has not been recovered and the case is still under investigation, MTSU police said.
